About this program

Hazel Joyce Ramirez (University of the Philippines), a recent graduate of the Yale School of the Environment’s Green Chemistry for Climate and Sustainability certificate program (USA), will offer a 2 hour hands-on professional learning workshop for teachers. Hazel and Seamus Delaney (Deakin) will lead attendees through a series of activities related to hands-on small scale science experiments, systems thinking and green chemistry innovations. The workshop will support teachers in the co-creation of green and sustainable chemistry lesson activities for their classrooms. Maximum 25 participants. Hosted by the University of Melbourne Faculty of Education; we will meet Emily Rochette from 5pm in the Native Plant Garden for drinks/snacks and a tour followed by the practical session from 5:30-7:30pm.
