About this program

The CEA November Lectures is our major annual conference for chemistry teachers. This years conference will be available in-person and online, on 25 November. Keynote Speakers: Andrew Smith and Nancy Wei, PACT Group: Leading the Circular Economy for Plastics Joanne Jamie, Macquarie University: Medicinal Plants of Yaegl and Bundjalung Peoples in Northern NSW Afternoon workshops: 1. Organic Structural Analysis: Using NMR, IR and MS instruments to solve structures (in-person only) 2. Make your own edible water capsules and party sparklers safely - Practical activities for circular economy and green chemistry (in-person only) 3. Understanding the literacy requirements in VCE Chemistry (in-person and online) 4. Smartphone Spectroscopy: Doing accurate colourimetry with a mobile phone (in-person and online) 5. Using a kit of chemical elements with Unit 1 students (in-person only)
