Bob Hogendoorn

Bob taught Chemistry in Victorian Secondary Schools for over 35 years and before his retirement he was a principal at a number of secondary colleges.  During this time he was actively involved in the development of senior Chemistry courses, including membership of exam panels and membership of Chemistry subject committees and consultation groups. This involvement continues to the present day. Bob coordinated the development of CEA's responses to drafts of the Australian Senior Curriculum for Chemistry.

He was the manager of the VCE ChemCAL project, a collaborative project between the Chemistry Education Association and The University of Melbourne, which has developed interactive web-based learning modules for VCE Chemistry. Bob is the lead editor for the current (4th) edition of Chemistry Two. He has written publications in support of Chemistry education and has presented at many teacher workshops.
 
Bob was involved in the production of the Science Frameworks project and many Safety documents. He has been very active on the CEA management committee and over a period of 12 years and has held the positions of President, Secretary and Treasurer. Bob has recently worked on Bushfire education and is an avid golfer and red wine drinker. He is also very involved with his local Lions group.
