Ann Osman

Spanning almost 40 years, Ann has made an outstanding contribution to chemistry education in a number of different roles. Starting in 1976, Ann was a teacher in five government high schools for a period of 24 years. Her students at Ballarat, Preston Girls’, Reservoir, Eltham and MacRobertson Girls’ High Schools fondly recall the passion and commitment she brought to the classroom.
Ann undertook administrative and curriculum development roles in education between 2000 and 2012.  Initially she worked as a Regional Project Officer in the Eastern Region, implementing and managing the Science in Schools and Science Innovation programs. Then she transferred to the VCAA, leading innovative change in positions which included Examinations Project Manager, Curriculum Manager of Science and Manager of AusVELS Curriculum.
Since 2013, as an outstanding Lecturer in Chemistry Method at both Monash University and the University of Melbourne, Ann has been developing and inspiring the teachers of tomorrow.
She is currently completing PhD studies in science education.
 
Ann is dedicated to improving knowledge and enthusiasm for Science and Chemistry, and to ensuring students receive the highest possible quality of teaching and educational programs.
